How to Draw Donald Duck – A Step by Step Guide
1. How to Draw Donald Duck for Kids
Step 1: Lightly sketch two small curved arches close together. These are the upper eyelids and help place the eyes.

Step 2: Under each arch draw a tall oval for each eye. Inside each oval add a large black pupil slightly toward the outer edge to give him a friendly look. Leave a tiny white highlight in each pupil.
Directly under the eyes, draw a wide horizontal oval that overlaps the lower parts of the eye ovals — this forms the top half of Donald’s bill. Curve its ends slightly upward where it meets the eyes.
Below the top oval, draw a wider rounded “U” shape that attaches to it, this is the lower part of the bill. Add a thin curved line inside to separate upper and lower parts of the bill and a small smile curve at one side.

Step 3: Around the eyes and bill, draw a rounded head shape that narrows slightly at the top.
Add a small three-spike tuft of hair at the top center of the head.

Step 4: Sketch a rounded cap shape sitting on the top of the head, tilted slightly. Add the small ribbon detail.

Step 5: From the sides of the head, draw two hands. The arms should be short and slightly curved; keep the fingers simplified as rounded shapes.
Under the bill draw a wide, shallow arc for the top of Donald’s sailor collar. From the collar draw the small torso that lead down to the sitting position. Add the front of the collar: a band and a small bow or knot in the center.

Step 6: Below the torso, draw two short, rounded legs pointing slightly outward. Each foot is a flattened oval seen from front — make them wide and slightly flattened with simple toe lines or a single split line.

Step 2: Under the eyes, draw the top half of the beak: a wide horizontal oval that overlaps the lower portions of the eye ovals. This is the upper lip of the beak.

Step 3: From the sides of the head, draw two rounded mitten-like hands that rise up and touch the cheeks, this creates the cute “surprised” pose. The arms should be short and slightly curved; keep the fingers simplified as rounded shapes.

Step 4: Around the eyes and beak, draw the head outline: a rounded shape that narrows slightly at the top.
At the top center of the head, draw a small tuft of hair

Step 5: Draw a flat sailor hat on top of the head

Step 6: Draw a simple sailor collar under the beak: a horizontal band across the bottom of the face with a small curved line to show the front of the collar.

Step 7: Color the drawing as follows:
Beak and lower face area : bright yellow.
